Cooking Method for 500g Fried Tiger Skin Chicken Feet (虎皮鸡脚)

Ingredients:

500g fried Tiger Skin Chicken Feet (pre-fried)

2-3 tablespoons soy sauce (light or regular)

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon Chinese five-spice powder

3-4 cloves garlic (minced)

3-4 slices ginger

2-3 star anise

1-2 tablespoons brown sugar or rock sugar

1-2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine (or cooking wine)

1-2 dried chilies (optional, for spice)

1 cup water or chicken broth

Green onions or cilantro (for garnish)



Steps:

Prepare the Braising Sauce:

In a pan or wok, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat.

Add minced garlic and sliced ginger. Stir-fry until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Add star anise, Chinese five-spice powder, and dried chilies (optional, for heat), and stir to combine with the garlic and ginger.

Pour in Shaoxing wine (or cooking wine) and allow it to evaporate for about 1 minute.

Add Sauces and Sweetener:

Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar or rock sugar. Continue to stir until the sugar has dissolved and the sauce is evenly mixed.

Pour in 1 cup of water or chicken broth to create the braising liquid. Stir well and bring the mixture to a simmer.



Braise the Chicken Feet:

Add the 500g of fried Tiger Skin Chicken Feet into the simmering sauce. Stir gently to coat the chicken feet evenly with the braising liquid.

Cover the pan or wok with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Let the chicken feet simmer for about 20-30 minutes, allowing them to absorb the flavors of the sauce and become tender. Stir occasionally to ensure even braising.



Adjust the Flavor:
